THEME FOR OCTOBER
Welcome to Fabulous
Fall! We are excited about this month's
focus. In keeping with the season, this
is Cornerstone's Fall Festival month. Also a good fall color is our focus color -
Just some dates you
may want to jot down, (explained in more detail later in this newsletter).

25th - CHURCH HARVEST PARTY
W2'S-PRE-K PICTURE DAY
Lifetouch will be
taking the children's school pictures on Wednesday, October 15th for
W2’s-Y3’s classes and Thursday, October 16th for 3’s-Pre-K classes
beginning at 8:30 a.m. Make sure your
child is here by 8:30 if you want their pictures taken. You will choose a background setting for your
child’s picture and when the packages are received at the center, you will pay
at that time: NO cost involved on
Picture Day.
FALL FESTIVAL PARTY
This year Cornerstone
is having a Fall Festival on Friday, October 24th. The children will NOT be dressing up for the
occasion. We will celebrate Autumn and
all it has to offer us. Each individual
class will have some fun fall activities planned such as: games, treats, fall art and cooking
activities. If your child would like to
bring a snack to share, please inform their teacher. It should be wonderful time to explore and
enjoy this season God has blessed us with.
CHURCH HARVEST PARTY
YOU ARE INVITED to
the Annual Church Harvest Party at First Assembly of God at 1400 W. Washington
Center Rd., on Saturday, October 25th, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Free
Games!! Free Candy!! Food will be
available to purchase. Many daycare
families in the past have attended and it has proven to be a great Halloween
alternative. You and your child may
dress up if you choose, costumes should depict things that are not scary or
evil...i.e. no witches, devils, ghosts or goblins, or the like PLEASE!! A prize will be given for the best Bible
costume. See you there!
OUTSIDE PLAY
State licensing regulations require that
children must go outside daily when the temperature is 25 degrees or above. Please make sure your child is dressed
appropriately and bring coats, hats, gloves, etc. to school daily. Also, we have had many missing coats! Please make sure your CHILD'S NAME is in his/her coat so it goes home with the right
person! Thank you! If you have any old hats or mismatched gloves
we would appreciate the donation.
FAMILY REMINDERS
*Check your child’s cubby daily for mail and precious works
of art.
*Make sure you sign in and out daily on the classroom
clipboard.
*Mark your child’s name in their coat.
*Payments are due on the first day of your child’s schedule.
Late fee of $25.00 will be charged for late payments.
*Call the center if
your child is absent.
*Call the center if
your child is not returning to the center on the school bus.
*Bring in a family
photo for your child’s classroom.
*We can always use
plastic bags and computer paper for drawing.
