MONTHLY THEME - Crazy Month

The month of January is Crazy Month.  We have planned a crazy activity or theme for each and every day of the month.  The kids enjoy coming to school with something they wouldn't normally wear or bring!  It is a great time to get silly after all the hustle and bustle of the Holiday Season. So mark your calendar and join in the fun.

During Bible time we will learn that God takes care of us through our Bible Cornerstone Unit, “God Takes Care of His People”.  We will learn this through stories about Joseph and how even when he was separated from his family and in a foreign place, God was still watching over and guiding him back to his home.  Our Bible verse is “I am with you…I am your God”.  Isaiah 41:10.

REMINDERS

BLANKETS - Winter is now here!  To help make naptime more snuggly and warm, please provide your child with a CHILD SIZED blanket labeled with their name to use during nap.

SPARE CLOTHING - Parents, please make sure your child has spare clothing at the center at all times.  Check daily for soiled clothes needing to be washed and returned to the center.

ILLNESS - 'Tis” the season for flu, colds, etc.   Therefore, it is our goal to keep the center as healthy as possible.  So, remember if a child has a contagious illness, they cannot return to the center for at least 24 hours after they begin their medication and must be fever free without medication for 24 hours..  This policy must be adhered to in order to decrease the instance of passing on the infection.

BLANKETS/PILLOWS - Remember to periodically take home nap items for a cleaning, as they are used daily.

OPERATION KID SIGHT

The local Indiana Lions Club provides a free eye screening for children who are 2-5 years of age.  The screening is scheduled for Thursday, January 26th.  This screening is effective in detecting significant factors that can cause a decrease in vision.  Stop by the office for a brochure explaining details of this important preschool screening.  Watch for a consent form in your child’s cubbie.

** THANK YOU **

The staff of Cornerstone Daycare wish to thank all parents for the goodies and gifts shared with them for the Christmas Holidays. We greatly appreciate your thoughtfulness and kindness.
